Markogianni Winery Lagos & Chelona Nature 2023

Lagos & Chelona is the new rosé natural wine of the Markogiannis winery, from the varieties Roditi (45%), Refosco (22%), Mavroudi (20%) and Asproudes (13%), coming from the family vineyard in the semi-mountainous Olympia. Roditis stays in contact with the marcs, waiting for the other varieties, which after 12 hours of extraction are separated from their marcs and joined with the skins and the must of Roditis. Then the blend will stay with its marcs for 12 days. Then it is kneaded in stainless steel tanks, with the native doughs and bottled unfiltered.

In the glass we find a pink color, with pale orange highlights. On the nose there are caramelized fruits, such as mandarin, citrus, orange, quince, lotus, jasmine, with a botanical and a spicy character to follow. The palate is of moderate volume, with moderate acidity, a feeling of oiliness, soft tannins that compose a delicious whole that leads to a good lasting aftertaste.
