Description: One of the oldest and most typical red varieties of Italy, mainly cultivated in the area of ​​Friuli, is grown in very small areas in our country. One of them is the Korakochwri region of Ilia, where it is cultivated the last 140 years at the Mercouri estate, so it became synonymous of the winery, and is known in the region as the 'Mercury' variety. It produces tannic, masculine wines with a deep violet color, with good acidity and vivid aromas of currant, plum and berry.
