Troussas Wines Katsakoulias Rose 2025
This exceptional rosé wine is crafted from the rare, indigenous Katsakoulias variety of Zakynthos, sourced from a pre-phylloxera, ungrafted vineyard in the village of Machairado. Cultivated traditionally in goblet-trained bush vines and vinified under the meticulous care of oenologist Athena Tsoli, this wine stands as a pure and authentic expression of the Zakynthian terroir, highlighting the unique genetic traits of the variety. In appearance, it is distinguished by a charming, pale and light rosé hue, which derives naturally from the grape. The nose is characterized by outstanding purity and elegance, capturing the subtle lines and balanced nuances of pristine fruit. On the palate, it reveals a refreshing and playful character, combining a precise, linear, and almost Doric intensity, without ever becoming austere.
