Hatzidakis Winery Skitali 2023

Skitali by Hatzidakis family is a deeply symbolic wine for the winery. During the 2016 harvest, part of the must was taken to different stainless steel tanks by Haridimos Hatzidakis and its original destination was to be bottled as PDO Santorini. When the bottling started, one tank was not bottled, it remained in contact with the lees for 12 months and was transformed into a completely different wine. Then, after 12 months of maturation, he shared his remarks with Stella Hatzidakis. And so it has began. A legacy left by the "father of wine" to the new oenologist, a "Skitali" (Baton) handed over by father Haridimos to his children.

It has a lemon color with golden highlights. Wonderfully complex aromas of citrus, white flowers, peach, thyme, with the minerality being present and distinguishable, hints of nuts complete its character. Full bodied mouthfeel, with high acidity and a pleasant long aftertaste.
