The name comes from:

echo : a natural phenomenon in which sound waves are reflected on solid obstacles and become perceptible by the human ear.

Echo: the mythological nymph who lost her voice and consequently her expression, is the allegorical projection of the acoustic phenomenon.

The choice of the name is directly related to the meaning of transfer and reflection that the word contains and is intended to connect with the past, since something that is heard now, through reflection, has been said in the past.

The wines are essentially the current expression/voice of a vineyard/character rooted in the past as they were planted 70 or even 200 years ago in some cases. They symbolize the reinstatement to the present as a snapshot of an uninterrupted and endless course.

The grapes come from a mountain vineyard at about 600 m altitude at the foot of Mount Za in central Naxos. Field blend of various white varieties based on Potamisi, Aidani and Karaibraim. Self born vineyard, over 150 years old, of low productivity and formulated in small terraces. The vinification intends to highlight the special varietal characteristics. The grapes juis stays on the lees for about 10 months.
