Chairman’s Reserve Forgotten Casks
Chairman’s Reserve Forgotten Casks is recognized as one of the most balanced and multifaceted rums in its category, boasting an exceptionally compelling history. On May 2nd, 2007, a major fire broke out at the St. Lucia Distillers distillery in the Roseau Valley, destroying a portion of the facilities. While the majority of the distillery remained intact, the incident resulted in significant problems regarding barrel storage and the aging of distillates. During the ensuing disruption, Cellar Master Cyril Mangal began storing barrels in the most unconventional parts of the distillery. Some of these barrels were subsequently forgotten, only to be rediscovered a few years later. These 'forgotten casks' gave rise to the highly awarded Chairman’s rum: the Forgotten Casks.
Essentially, this rum is the same blend as the company’s signature Chairman’s Reserve, but with an additional 4 to 5 years of aging.
