Larisa Wines

Although the greatest part of the Prefecture of Larissa is flat, the mountains Olympus and Ossa offer fertile conditions to viticulture and high quality wine production. The wines produced in the area are distributed as P.D.O. Rapsani and consist the culmination of the region wines. It is about a blend of equal amounts of red wine varieties, Krassato, Stavroto and Xinomavro. However, in the wider region, many interesting P.G.I. Krania wines are also produced, such as Chardonnay, Cabernet, Merlot and Tyrnavos, Roditi, Mpatiki and Cabernet.
