Macedonia

The numerous findings of archaeologists like cups, amphoras, jugs, but also the writings that survived over centuries merely confirm the importance of viniculture and wine production in the region of Macedonia. The vast vineyard which extends on the slopes of the mountains and the sunny coasts, still produces famous wines. Among them, 4 wines are distributed as P.D.O. (Protected Designation of Origin): Naoussa, Goumenissa, Amyntaio, Plagies Melitona (Slopes of Meliton) and 20 wines as P.G.I. (Protected Geographical Indication): Macedonia, Paggaio, Drama, Agora, Adriani, Serres, Halkidiki, Sithonia, Mount Athos, Thessaloniki, Epanomi, Slopes of Vertisko, Mesembria, Pella, Florina, Kastoria, Grevena, Imathia, Velvendo and Siatista.

It has a bright salmon color. The aromas consist of red fruits, roses, citrus peels, followed by notes of white flowers. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, with lively acidity and a delightful long-lasting finish...
