Askitoglou Winery Open Book Savatiano 2022

Askitoglou Winery Open Book Savatiano 2022
Askitoglou Winery Open Book Savatiano 2022

The old dry Savatiano vines in cup form gave us an excellent wine, with velvety aromas of lemon, coromel and allspice. The alcohol levels are clearly higher than last year due to the microclimate, but the philosophy of cultivation, harvest, vinification and conservation is largely unchanged.

On the nose quite aromatic while on the palate light, fresh, dry with a satisfying body and a long aftertaste. The acidity is above average but in complete harmony and balance with the overall softness that runs through this particular year. Color bright and clear.

A Savatiano from old vines combined with an excellent year had a very tasty result.

Open Book Savatiano 2022 is a wine to drink with your friends but also a wine that will accompany you to a beach to enjoy a beautiful sunset. Let it cool, open the bottle and give it a few minutes to breathe. We strongly recommend that you have a second bottle on ice as well.
