The story of Villa Maria began in Auckland and continued in Hawke's Bay and Marlborough, where the best grapes are collected from carefully selected locations.

Thanks to the quirky and persistent nature of owner Sir George Fistonich, the company has repeatedly pushed boundaries, being the first in New Zealand to open a winery restaurant and the first major winery to release cork-free wine.

Sauvignon Blanc Réserve Wairau Valley displays unparalleled aromatic intensity, with vegetal and citrus fruit taking center stage, with notes of tropical fruit following. On the palate we have a fresh mouthfeel with high acidity, moderate+ body and a lasting aftertaste.
