Arktos Elevation Vineyards Assyrtiko 2024
Assyrtiko is Artemis Karamolegos' strong suit, as he has acquired particular expertise in managing this variety. In this specific Assyrtiko, however, it is cultivated under different conditions, at an altitude of 650–700 meters, in the areas of Xino Nero and Agios Panteleimonas in Amyndeo. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, while a small percentage matures in barrels. With a limited production of just 4,000 bottles, the Arktos Assyrtiko represents a special expression of the variety.
In appearance, we find a lemon color. On the nose, we discover aromas of citrus fruits, green apple, and blossoms, with a subtle minerality present and notes of yeast following. The palate is medium-bodied, with high acidity and a finish of good length.
