Blank Canvas Anthem Vineyard Pinot Noir 2023
This is an ethereal Pinot Noir with finesse and a European aura. Anthem Vineyard Pinot Noir comes from a tiny plot of land in the Gibbston Valley, one of the coolest sub-regions of Central Otago. The wine is transferred to low-toasted, French oak barriques (35% new) where malolactic conversion is completed naturally and the wine matures for 12 months. This is followed by a further 3 months ageing in stainless still tanks, to gently and naturally settle. The wine is bottled unfiltered and remains in the bottle for 13 months before its release. The result is a wonderful expression of Pinot Noir with aromas of red cherry, raspberry and violet complemented by mineral notes, while showcasing velvety tannins and long aftertaste. All of the above contribute to an extremely elegant and complex wine.
