Patra Wines
In Patra 4 P.D.O. wines are produced and only one of them is dry and based on Roditi variety. The remaining 3 wines are Mavrodaphne of Patras, Muscat of Patras, Muscat of Rio Patras with Mavrodafne being the one which makes the difference in reputation and consumption within and outside the region. However, the variations within the zone, which are quite enough, are due to the rich terrain of Patras which combines coastal areas, with high altitudes, mountain slopes and plains.
