Kokotou - Estate

The Kokotos estate dates back to 1975 when George Kokotos and his family decided to settle in Stamata, abandoning city life to build their home and create a small vineyard on the hills north of Athens.

On the estate in Stamata, George and Anne Kokotos have developed a variety of activities, always with respect for the land and the natural beauty of the area. The estate, which covers an area of more than seven hectares, is spread over a hilltop on the north eastern slopes of Mt Pendeli, offering visitors a unique view over the Attic basin and as far as the island of Evia.

The Kokotos Estate’s special position, its rolling slopes set in a region which has been known for its wine production since antiquity and just 30 kilometres distance from the centre of Athens, has contributed to the estate’s success. The outstanding configuration of the land allows the harmonious coexistence of the estate’s various activities, organic crops; vineyards, olive groves, orchard, the vegetable garden with the beehives and a small poultry farm, the Kokotos’ family home and the outdoor and covered area for social and corporate events, as well as a wine tasting area, exhibition space and the well equipped boutique winery and cellar. The wines from the vineyards have amassed an impressive number of national and international awards.

The list of social events held at the Kokotos Estate is long and includes receptions, themed events, sculpture exhibitions, book presentations, music recitals, charitable events, school visits and tours for wine lovers, and even the finish of the Vintage Car Rally.
