Oinotropai Winery Roes Carignan 2019

Something different,  something outside the box for Greek wine, this is a fascinating Carignan from Messinia in the Peloponnese produced in 1.700 bottles from a single 0.4 ha vineyard. Very fruity on the nose, mostly blue fruit along chocolate, warm spice and a touch of mint. Velvety, plush with power but also freshness because of its crisp acidity. Perfect match for bbqs.
