La Tour Melas
The Melas tower (La tour Melas) is located at Ahinos village, in the prefecture of Fthiotida. The property is at an altitude of 150 to 200 meters and is surrounded by pristine oak forests. In 2001, vineyard grafts were imported from France and Cabernet Franc and Merlot were planted . The vineyard is nestled by the side of the valley, in clayey soil, at an altitude of 160 meters. Careful pruning (winter and spring) and the viticulture of meticulous precision, result, each August, to an excellent raw material for La Tour Melas wine. Harvesting is performed by hand and only the perfectly healthy and ripe grapes are selected.
