The company was established in 1894 at Plomari (Lesvos) where Isidoros Arvanitis created his famous ouzo recipe. After 100 years, the company, using the same recipe and traditional production methods (distillation in small handmade copper stills) still produces the same ouzo in a traditional packaging, offering the same balanced delicate flavor. Since 1994, the Plomariou Isidoros Arvanitis Distillery belongs to the families Kaloyanni and Arvanitis. The company is certified by Austria Hellas for the application of HACCP in the production, bottling and distribution of its products. In 2006, Ouzo Plomari Isidoros Arvanitis was awarded the silver medal by Internationaler Spirituosen Wettbewerb.
