Askitoglou Winery Open Book Savatiano 2021
2021 was a year of extreme climatic phenomena in terms of summer temperatures and drought in the Attic vineyard. The dry, cup-shaped Savatiano vines gave us a soft wine, with velvety notes of lemon and spice aromas. The alcoholic degrees are clearly lower than last year due to the microclimate, but the philosophy of cultivation, harvest, vinification and conservation is very much unchanged.
In the nose shyly aromatic while on the palate it is light, fresh and dry. Moderate acidity, in beautifully balanced with the overall softness that runs through this particular vintage. Bright and clear colors.
Open Book Savatiano 2021 is a wine to drink with your friends but also a wine that will accompany you to a beach to enjoy a beautiful sunset. Let it cool, open the bottle and give it a few minutes to breathe. We strongly recommend that you have a second bottle on ice as well.
