The Oinotropai Winery is a delightful discovery and addition to the Greek wine map. Situated in the Peloponnese (Zevgolatio, Messinia) it emphasizes in international, cosmopolitan varieties, producing wines with Mediterranean temperate, rich and tasty. Among them Carignan, Tempranillo and Chardonnay are standouts.
The full-flavoured with cocoa and blackberries Tempranillo matures for 12 months in American oak.
Velvety and full bodied on the palate, with warm alcohol which is however wery well integrated, adding extra points to the long aftertaste.
Decanted suggested for an hour. Pair it with jamon, spicy cheeses, grilled pork and Mexican cuisine.
