The best Rosé wines of the summer
Greek rosé wines have undoubtedly stepped into the rosé game and are no longer considered as much seasonal. The
category is literally blooming, with some producers offering us more than one choice and rightly
considered to be the specialists of the kind.
Among a wide variety of rosés we find many exciting examples, especially wines from indigenous varieties. Rosés
from Xinomavro, Moschofilero, Mandilaria, Mouchtaro, together with some from the international variety Touriga Nacional stand out
among the crowd, with their authentic aromas and their special character.
See our favorites below, with 15% off the original price:
Troupis Tomi Rosé 2018 |
A dynamic start from the Moropoulos family, with a rosé wine with spark and explosive aromas.
Thymiopoulos Rose de Xinomavro 2017 |
From Mandilaria / Mavrokoudoura
Lenga Pink 2018 |
The new rosé release of Estate Avantis comes stylishly placed between the classic Avantis Rosé and Plagies Gerakion (Falcons Hill), with an almost sensual blend of Mavrokoudoura and the fragrant Gewurztraminer.
Mylonas Malagousia-Mandilaria 2018 |
One of the most complete rosé wines of the market, based exclusively on indigenous varieties, getting better every year. Stamatis Mylonas is one of the most promising Greek winemakers. Excellent as an aperitif and at a fantastic price.
With nearly 90% of Sauvignon Blanc in the blend we would expect the plant elements of the variety to dominate. But the amazing Mouchtaro variety blends uniquely, providing balance and a more earthy dimension.
